Woodland is a congregation of the Presbyterian Church (USA) and the Presbytery of Middle Tennessee.

We are affiliated with the Covenant Network of Presbyterians, whose motto “toward a church as generous and just as God's grace” reflects its purpose of working for the removal of  present barriers to ordination for persons who want to affirm their homosexuality without committing themselves to a life of celibacy.

Woodland also works with More Light Presbyterians, a “network of people seeking the full participation of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people of faith in the life, ministry and witness of the Presbyterian Church (USA).”

We support the witness of Presbyterians for Restoring Creation,  a “faith community dedicated to environmental wholeness with social justice, seeking to be a prophetic voice for substantive change in the church and in the world."

Woodland is a founding congregation of the East Nashville Cooperative Ministry, which operates a thrift store at 807 Main Street and serves as one of the largest distribution points in Nashville for Second Harvest Food Bank.

We also support the work of Martha O’Bryan Community Center and Monroe Harding Children’s Home, both of which began as ministries of our Presbytery but are now supported by the larger Nashville community as well.
